Protect the vulnerable sides of your Can-Am Maverick R without sacrificing ground clearance or off-road capability.
The BRP Maverick R is built for speed and aggressive driving over rough terrain. But even experienced drivers can’t always pick the perfect line, especially when tall grass hides rocks, fallen trees, or sudden changes in the terrain. One wrong move or a tight turn can bring an obstacle dangerously close to the UTV’s plastic body panels. That’s where proper side protection makes a difference.
BMS X-Trim rock sliders provide a strong protective barrier along the lower sides of the Maverick R. Mounted directly to the frame, they help absorb and distribute impact forces through the UTV’s structural components rather than its vulnerable plastic panels. Whether you’re crossing a fallen log or brushing against a rock on a tight trail, the steel protection can take the contact before it reaches the body.
The rock sliders stay within the width of the wheels and do not reduce ground clearance, preserving the Maverick R’s ability to tackle demanding terrain.
With BMS X-Trim side protection in place, you can spend less time worrying about body damage and more time enjoying what the Maverick R does best – pushing your limits, improving your driving skills, and taking on challenging trails with greater confidence.
That makes BMS X-Trim rock sliders one of the most practical 4×4 mods for BRP Maverick R owners who regularly push their machines beyond easy trails.

FAQ
Will BMS X-Trim rock sliders fit the four-seat Can-Am Maverick R MAX?
No. BMS X-Trim rock sliders are designed specifically for the two-seat BRP Can-Am Maverick R. They are not compatible with the four-seat Maverick R MAX.
Do I need to drill the frame to install these rock sliders?
No frame drilling is required. BMS X-Trim rock sliders attach directly to the existing mounting points on the Maverick R frame, so its structure remains unchanged.
However, the lower plastic body panels do need minor modification. You’ll need to temporarily remove them and cut openings in the existing molded recesses using a spade (paddle) drill bit, hole saw or a suitable cutting tool. Once the openings are made, the panels go back on, and the rock sliders are secured to the frame using the supplied bolts.
Will the rock sliders interfere with the doors or make getting in and out harder?
No. BMS X-Trim rock sliders add rocker panel protection along the lower sides of the Maverick R without interfering with the factory doors.
You can open and close the doors normally, and getting in and out remains just as easy as before. The additional side protection doesn’t come at the expense of everyday usability.
How are the steel rock sliders protected against rust?
BMS X-Trim rock sliders are treated with a zinc-rich primer and finished with a protective polymer coating to help resist moisture and corrosion.
However, rocks, sand, and trail debris can eventually chip or scratch the finish. After riding on rocky trails, it’s worth checking the exposed surfaces, especially along the lower edges where contact is most likely. Any damage that reaches bare metal should be cleaned, treated, and touched up promptly to prevent rust from developing.
