Adjustable Rear Panhard Bar for Mitsubishi Pajero Montero 1991-2005
Keep the rear axle centered after lifting your Pajero or Montero.
A lift kit gives the Mitsubishi Pajero Montero 1991–2005 more clearance for larger tires, rough roads, and off-road travel. But when the suspension height changes, the factory fixed-length track bar can pull the rear axle sideways instead of keeping it properly aligned.
The TAIKO rear adjustable Panhard bar allows the installer to correct this axle offset by changing the bar length. This helps position the rear axle more accurately after suspension modifications and brings the rear suspension back into a more correct working geometry.
This upgrade is especially useful for vehicles equipped with heavy accessories, cargo, recovery gear, camping equipment, or regular travel load. Under changing weight and road conditions, the suspension needs more than extra clearance. It also needs correct rear axle alignment.
For Mitsubishi Pajero and Montero suspension tuning, an adjustable track bar works as a setup component, not just a replacement part. It helps support more consistent handling on highways, gravel roads, and off-road routes after changes to lift height, springs, shocks, or wheel size.
The TAIKO Panhard bar is a practical solution for owners who want a properly adjusted lifted suspension, not just a taller vehicle.

FAQ
My Pajero pulls to one side after a suspension lift. How can the rear Panhard bar be related?
If the front suspension has been checked and the vehicle still does not track properly, the rear axle position should also be inspected.
After a lift, the factory fixed-length track bar can leave the rear axle shifted to one side. A rear axle that is not centered can affect how the vehicle follows the road, making it feel like the driver has to make constant steering corrections.
At what lift height do I need an adjustable Panhard bar?
It is better not to judge by lift height alone. Two vehicles with the same springs can sit differently depending on weight, suspension condition, accessories, and regular load.
If you are planning a suspension lift, it makes sense to install an adjustable Panhard bar at the same time. This gives the installer the ability to re-center the rear axle during the lift installation and complete the suspension setup in one service visit.
Why not install a longer fixed-length Panhard rod?
The correct Panhard rod length depends on the actual ride height and load of the specific vehicle. Guessing the required length for a fixed bar is difficult, especially when the vehicle has a lift kit, cargo, heavy accessories, or different suspension components.
An adjustable track bar is more practical because the length can be set directly on the vehicle.
Why does one end of the Panhard bar need to be disconnected for adjustment?
The length is adjusted through a threaded end. One side of the bar is disconnected from the mount, the threaded section is turned in or out to reach the required position, and the final setting is secured with a lock nut.
This design is less convenient than a sleeve-style adjuster, but it is stronger and more reliable. When properly installed, the Panhard bar cannot rotate by itself, even during active off-road use. The adjustment range must still be followed.
Are any mounting modifications required?
No. This Panhard bar is designed for the Mitsubishi Pajero 1991–2005 second generation and Mitsubishi Montero 1991–2005 second generation.
It installs into the factory mounting points without modifying the suspension brackets.
Can I install the adjustable Panhard bar myself?
Technically, yes, if you have the right tools and suspension service experience. However, professional installation is recommended.
The job is not only about replacing the part. The rear axle must be positioned correctly in relation to the body after the lift, and the adjustment must be securely locked.
What should be checked after installation?
After installation, check the rear axle position, mounting bolt torque, and lock nut fixation.
After a short break-in period, it is useful to inspect the assembly again. A lifted suspension may settle slightly after the first drives. It is also a good time to check the general condition of the suspension, including bolts, brackets, dust boots, and bushings.
